I have seen the pictures, and chances are so have you. Pictures of women and children whose eyes are hollow and vacant. Eyes which seemed to have lost all the sparkle because of the sense there is no hope!! These eyes belong to the women and children who are trapped in a world of modern day slavery.
Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. And here on my blog, it starts a weekly post. These post will give statistics and stories about human sex trafficking. I have committed to blog for The Exodus Road. They are a non-profit organization that fights modern day slavery through covert investigations. Their coalition of operatives work together to gather evidence and conduct rescues for those trapped in sexual slavery.
As many of you know, I have termed pornography as the 21st Century Goliath and have thrown a stone at it every chance I can get. Like everything else in life, pornography has a cause and effect. Even though many times it is viewed in the privacy of someone’s home, the tentacles of this addiction are far reaching. Human sex trafficking is one of those extremities.
